What Students Will Learn:

This introduction course is designed to gently lead you into the world of Bushcraft.  It will show you many of the fundamental skills of living outdoors including shelter building using man made and natural materials, fire lighting, camp craft, backwoods cooking and wild food.  This is a course that everyone can take part in and take something away from. Our instructors will show you how to recognise and use some common plants and trees, set and safely manage a fire and cook food using open fires. The course will commence at 1000 on Sat and complete at 1600 on the Sunday.  Course numbers will be limited to 12 people.  Hot and cold drinks will be available throughout, and our instructors will practise what they preach by cooking the evening meal on open coals on Saturday evening!  All other meals will be self catering so please bring sandwiches for lunch on both days, breakfast items for the Sunday and any snacks you may need. (Items can be stored in the centre fridge if necessary) Tentage will be provided, however you will have the option of sleeping under a shelter on Saturday night in order to get the full experience!
